Erlend
The end of an era, of sorts. Erlend, one of my favourite Norwegian names (also first name of the wonderful Norwegian writer, Erlend Loe), seemed to be rather well fitting for this lonely little chap. I like to imagine that he is travelling north, just as I, too, so often dream of migrating to a much colder climate (and rain, please, we want lost of that, too). Eventually..

Blue Safari
Perfect longing. The celestial sailor.
Something painful here also: endangered, innocence.

Miss Penfold
.
Another for the 'Book of Names' set. Miss penfold, with her asymmetric hair-do. A girl who prefers to live inside of dreams, hence the cloud-style ear muffs.
Back soon! xxx

Re: Blue Safari
I didn't see the endangerment as painful. I looked at it as the confidence of innocence allowing her to scale those perilous heights to explore.
Maybe it's just because I've been envying youth lately. I dropped about 50 pounds recently and realized it didn't make me any younger. As I pass through crowds of young, hip, edgy and beautiful, I long for the days when I could just BE that without being a sad caricature. And in that sense I envy your young trailblazer. The only painful thing for me is that some day she'll learn about the inevitability of gravity.

I am loving the texture of the water and the sky in the first two. The bear on wheels is really awesome! Just last week I was on a tour of a victorian house and I saw one of these in real life, over 100 years old! I like the elephant too. I don't remember ever seeing elephant imagery in your work before. Awaiting more!
