So many great finds! So much creativity! It makes me happy knowing that there are so many talented folk out there in our world.
That Fragonard painting inspire me to make two photographs several years ago. I like the story behind it. The man who commissioned it first approached the French painter Doyen, who was horrified at the idea that the man wanted a painting of himself with his mistress (I don't really know why as there were plenty of portaits of mistresses back then). Anyway, Doyen refused the commission so the man asked Fragonard who accepted. In the painting, the man laying down on the left is the client, his mistress is in the swing and if you follow the man's gaze and arm, you'll know what he is looking at. The mistress's bare stockings showing was pretty scandalous then. Oh, and that's a bishop pushing the swing. Crazy, huh? :)
