Imagination, belief, wonder....Now, imagine that you have experienced something that nobody, no matter how long you have known them, or how much they profess to love you, would ever be able to believe.

Not quite finished, I think. I plan to work into this one when I return home from my little holiday next week. Somewhat more graphic than the usual....I am still very much enjoying playing around with collage shapes and textures. Many of these are created on paper before scanning them into the computer. Ultimately these are mixed media pieces, having been created using my illustration, photographs and painted shapes.

I used to have a Shetland pony. He wasn't exactly fond of me, but we did share many experiences together. Adventures, of a sort. I have been wondering about the parts of my childhood that still remain lost to me. They are forever on the periphery, yet never quite tangible.

More to come!

I shall return sometime next week after my little break in the Lakes - with new printed goodies!
.
I am still quite obsessed with Wilkie Collins (having completed The Dead Secret already), and shall simply have to wait patiently now for The Moonstone to arrive.

Until then, take care, and enjoy your week ahead ☆

...And don't forget to take some time out to do absolutely nothing at all. A most underrated pastime.

Hey dear Louise!
I kept contacting you at flickr in the past months to ask you if you'd be interested to submit some of your self portraits to my Book project: Poetic Terrorism.
It's a book of collective female self portrait artist from everywhere and the profit will go to an association that helps women/children in Asia(I'm still contacting them as it's not so easy to find them finally)
anyways feel free to let me know if you're up to it.
Hope you're enjoying your summertime
blessings and light
always love what you do

Lou:
These silhouettes are fabulous. I especially adore "And Nobody Knows if it Really Happened". I think that sort of "Chintz" fabric gives the piece an all around innocent feel, but the title declares otherwise! Oh, and I love that you can make out just a wee bit of toes on her feet!

These are ultra-stunning.
I love that you always shift your content a little, and never become 'samey'. I love your graphic style, it's really unique and ghostly...
And oh, I also <3 Wilkie Collins and LOVE reading 'The Moonstone'! :D It's something I've read more than once and keep going back to it.

These are beautiful. I especially like the Wonder Cabinet. I love how you used wallpaper on the doors... it's very french...
I hope you have a good time out. You're absolutely right, it does wonders for a person.
